Wildlife photography comprises of mammals, birds, and reptiles. These images require stealth, patience, timing, and a bit of luck. It is important to maintain the proper distance from wildlife when photographing. Failure to do so can scare birds or cause animals to be aggressive. A zoom lens with good distance helps alot and helps to maintain a safe distance. While animals like moose, bison, and others are limited to certain areas of the US, birding refuges can be found throughout in all 50 states. These refuges can provide trails, blinds, and towers that can help you get closer to birds for viewing and photographing.
